The hour long footage documents the waters off of Caibarien, Cuba. This islands off the eastern coast of Cuba was a popular site where the balseros used to set off on their rafts to catch the Gulf Stream to Florida. The video tries to capture what the balseros would see on the beginning of their often tragic voyages.
